Entrepreneurship in institutional context
I work at the intersection of institutional analysis and entrepreneurship, using organisation theory to understand how entrepreneurs interpret their environments and participate in wider processes of change.

Entrepreneurial action does not take place in isolation.
It is shaped by cultural expectations, established categories, systems of meaning, organisational forms, and material infrastructures. At the same time, entrepreneurs can recombine these elements and contribute to broader institutional change.
My research connects institutional analysis with entrepreneurship to study this relationship in both directions. One stream examines how institutional logics influence entrepreneurial interpretation, legitimacy, and venture development. Other projects use sustainability, Norwegian cultural expectations, and China’s new energy vehicle field as empirical and conceptual objects through which to investigate broader institutional and organisational questions.
